I'm presently watching the Washingtonians, an episode of the Masters of Horror series. It's about a man and his family, who discover that George Washington was a cannibalistic murder, and the cult of people dedicated to keeping this secret get away.
This picture sums the show up pretty well.
It's not bad, by any stretch of the imagination, for a low budget thriller on such a unique and somewhat silly topic, it's just fine.
The main problem comes from the campiness of tone. It suffers your usual shortcomings, such that the killers won't just kill the family, but instead have to have a long, drawn-out process that shows just how weird and depraved they are.
But the fact that they dress up in Colonial American garb makes it. I highly suggest you watch.
